The first step in the All-on-4® procedure is a thorough evaluation of your jawbone to determine the best placement locations for the dental implants. This involves a detailed oral examination and advanced 3D x-rays to map the densest and healthiest areas of your jaw. Based on these findings, Dr. Dev at Desert Pearl Dentistry creates a personalized plan to determine the type of implants, their placement angle, and the expected length of the procedure. Unlike traditional implants that are placed at near-vertical angles, All-on-4® uses long, slender implants that are placed at an incline to secure dentures even in cases where jawbone depth is limited. This unique technique ensures a strong foundation for your new teeth.

Precise Drilling and Insertion

On the day of your procedure, our team at Desert Pearl Dentistry prepares all the necessary components for your All-on-4® procedure. Based on your specific needs, four implants are chosen for each jaw and connected with abutments that will serve as the foundation for your new denture. Using the results from the initial assessment and digital x-rays, the implant sites are prepared with great precision to ensure that the implants are securely placed.

Once the implants are in place, the abutments are attached, and we make sure everything is properly aligned. Next, a dental lab customizes your healing denture, which is designed to fit your reshaped jawline. After confirming the fit and appearance, you’ll leave our office with a full set of temporary teeth while the healing process begins.

Post-Healing Period Adjustments

After the procedure, it is normal to experience some swelling in the jaw and gum tissue. This requires a recovery period during which your implants will fuse with the bone, a process that typically takes several months. Once healing is complete, you’ll return to Desert Pearl Dentistry for another set of digital measurements. These measurements are used to create your final, permanent dentures. A skilled dental technician will craft these custom dentures, which will replace your temporary set. When everything is ready, you will receive your permanent, stunning, and secure new smile.
